RAID 1 duplicates data across several disks, to increase storage accessibility.
Each disk in the array stores exactly the same data. Some RAID 1 arrays enhance
performance by performing two read operations in parallel. The capacity of the array
is simply the capacity of a single disk. RAID 1 can sustain multiple disk failures
as long as a single disk survives. However, if the file system is damaged as a result
of a virus or accidental deletion, the damage is also mirrored and some of the data
becomes inaccessible.
RAID-1 Online Recovery Service
Raid Recovery Online (RRO) provides professional online data and RAID recovery services from RAID-1-based systems.
Services are provided online, over a secured channel on the Internet. For a detailed
description of the recovery process, please see the Online
RAID Recovery process.
Online RAID-1 Recovery Service fees are usually fixed in advance, as a function
of the number of disks in the array. However, additional charges may be incurred
for the recovery of heavily damaged files in cases of severe file system damage.
